Highschool

What to say about high-school? It is everything you could imagine. I mean there is that hallway that you don't want to walk by, there is that weird teacher, and there are the jocks and the popular people. There is always that one person, who cracks up the whole class, and always that one smart person people seem always to be copying off of. High-school can be compared to the survival of the fittest, because essentially no one can survive alone. You must be patient, hard working, and also keen to the tasks at hand. There are always aspects of high-school that one will love, and one will hate, but we must learn to live and deal with it. It is really remarkable to me to understand that soon, some of these kids will be going to university. For me, there is always a point where our young high-school minds, have to realize that our future is coming closer. For example, I'm sitting in class and the teacher is talking, all of a sudden, in the background I hear giggling. I understand jokes, fun, and games but there is always a time for laughter, but also a time to be serious. In university or college, you are just a number and nothing more. It is said for one to be lucky if your professor even knows your name. We are nothing but ants in a great nest of many. The future and our success lies in ourselves, not in others. In 5 years, many of us might be graduates, mothers, fathers, or spouses. The future must always be thought about. It is unbelievable to believe that people in high-school would even try and act this way next year. Basically, they will be laughed at for a moment, and then brushed off. The future leaves no hope for fools or people who do not plan their time, it is open for people who are willing enjoy life, know when and when to laugh or to be serious, and to be prepared for anything that comes at them.
